A wealth of library and database resources

As a student of the Australian College of Christian Studies, you will be able to access a broad range of resources. Further to the wealth of information and support you will find on campus, via your teachers, peers and on campus library, you can also access resources from both off-campus libraries and online database providers.

Available Databases

Databases are useful for your studies and professional development. Some are freely available, others are exclusive to college members. Some valuable databases include:

  • EBSCO* (Login and password is available from the librarian) .EBSCO Information Services is a worldwide leader in providing information access and management solutions through print and electronic journal subscription services, research database development and production, online access to more than 100 databases and thousands of e-journals, and e-commerce book procurement.
  • EMQ*Login and password is available from the librarian). Evangelical Missions Quarterly - a professional journal for the worldwide mission community. EMQ is published by Evangelism and Missions Information Service (EMIS) the publishing division of the Billy Graham Center - providing publications for stimulating global evangelism.
  • INFED Informal education archives - materials that illuminate the development of informal education and lifelong learning.
  • Network for Strategic Mission  An Intercultural Studies Website which explores such topics as Bible & Mission, Modern Missions, History of Mission, Humanities & Mission, Missiology, Missionary Life, Modern Missions, Practical Missions, Sciences & Mission, Theology of Mission World Religions, Unreached People Groups, etc.
  • New Advent  A host of religious resources and links from a Roman Catholic perspective.
  • Pandora  Pandora, Australia's Web Archive, is a growing collection of Australian online publications, established by the National Library of Australia in 1996, and now built in collaboration with nine other Australian libraries and cultural collecting organisations.
  • Questia  (by personal subscription). The World's Largest Online Library of Books. Questia is the first online library that provides access to the world's largest online collection of books and journal articles in the humanities and social sciences, plus magazine and newspaper articles.
  • Theology on the Web  Some of the greatest resources for students of theology can be found in theological journals.
  • Trove  The National Library of Australia on-line database. Find and get over 317,590,430 Australian and online resources: books, images, historic newspapers, maps, music, archives and more.
